We recommend you to arrive already on Friday, September 6, 2002 in Lucerne to join us in our visit to the observatory.<br \/>\nWe invite you to register as soon as possible. We encourage you also to make a poster presentation. After registration you will receive detailed information and the programme. The museum has an ideal infrastructure for this meeting, including a planetarium, an exhibition on space exploration, an IMAX cinema. and a public astronomical observatory nearby.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2525\" src=\"http:\/\/www.darksky.ch\/dss\/wp-content\/uploads\/2002\/02\/2002_map.jpg\" alt=\"2002_map\" width=\"282\" height=\"237\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With its location in central Europe the charming small town in the pre-alps can be reached from either part of the continent by train, bus or plane. Lucerne is the starting point of many rewarding excursions to scenic places of interest. Worth exploring are the shores of beautiful Lake Lucerne, dotted with quaint villages, the highland above the lake and the towering mountains beyond. The city itself has also a lot to offer (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stadtluzern.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stadtluzern.ch<\/a> or take a virtual city tour).
