Infatti da diversi anni Kobler si impegna per la lotta all&#8217;inquinamento luminoso, egli ha svolto diversi studi riguardanti le conseguenze dell&#8217;inquinamento luminoso e le contromisure. Kobler collabora attivamente con i Cantoni e i Comuni svizzeri che vogliono impegnarsi a preservare il cielo notturno.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Since the old pages are only on archive.org, we cite here what we have found in English:<\/p>\n<h3>IDA Awards<\/h3>\n<h4>Galileo Award Goes To Kobler<\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">IDA Press Release<br \/>\nRen\u00e9 Kobler, vice-president of Dark-Sky Switzerland, has won the 2004 IDA Europe Galileo award for his tireless efforts in the protection of night skies and controlling light pollution.\u00a0 The Galileo Award is given once per year by the International Dark-Sky Association for outstanding achievements in Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Kobler is originally an architect by profession and was confronted first with light pollution while photographing the night-sky in the Swiss Alps.\u00a0 He decided to focus entirely on light pollution and quit his job to study environmental engineering and science to obtain a postgraduate degree in this field.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently building an expert center for light pollution at the Institute of Environmental Technology in the Canton of Basel.
